Re "apologies for the formatting of the cut and paste of the research note from Rethink I posted yesterday. It looked fine on "preview" but somehow got messed up in the actual posting."

Not your doing, imo. I also see it from others, occasionally.
I often compose a post offline, easier to check my facts while doing it etc. If I compose in OpenOffice email and cut/paste, no problem. But if I do it in OpenOffice doc, I get same as you. If I copy/paste from a website, sometimes it gets messed up, sometimes not. I have checked options for pasting, I can't find an answer.
Never happened to me on the old HC.

Would be grateful if anyone can help/explain how to consistently avoid it.
