It sounded like from the webinar that this deal will help LIFX expand its offering more than it will help BUD. LIFX have done well to develop in the IOT space since 2012. However about lighting being the fast moving good in the IOT space. It's a viable business and has been around some time in the space. However a lightbulbs main function is to illuminate a dark space. The value that these smart bulbs provide is cool and modern however is more a novelty, with features like voice control and colours lights / sensors. They also have an LED life span of 22.8 years. - If you buy some you will not be rebuying so there is no reoccuring revenue. they need new customers all the time to sell to.
