From looking at historical references and also rock maps, both SAT and cross section, it is more than apparent that if the paleo placer theory pans out, this area, towards the SE Kangan area could prove to be very relevant. There is clearly overwhelming evidence to support the theory of an ancient sea bed conglomerate, acoross wide areas, but equally there is plenty of support for a fluvial deposition from a unique source. Very large nuggets have been found alongside watermelon seed nuggets. Hard to explain via algal deposition theory due to their enormous size, some 600g+. Is there a deeper prolific source?

IF and I say IF there was a feed and deposition into a shallow marine environment in place of in-situ deposition, then the translocation may have been via large widespread fluvial flow.
There may have been a source for the gold.
Not discounting the microbial oxygenation theory completely, but when you get a number of very large weathered nuggets of gold in close proximity to smaller seed like nuggets, you have to question whether both theories were in play at the time or perhaps via separate sources. Seems there may be a mix of theories intertwined producing potentially a plethora of gold. The current ground held by CLY has a long history of gold mining. Most of it long gone, but probably a lot that is yet untouched.
