Nonsense. The two are interrelated. I'm not "trashing" anything. Clearly allowing companies to "self regulate within the ASX rules to do the correct thing" by all shareholders is not working. If it was there would be no problem. Denying there is a not a problem is turning a blind eye and justifying it when it makes no equitable sense at all. The fact that a share is entitled to the same dividend but not the same treatment on CR entitlement is a nonsense. There is NO denying it or justification for it. Less so offering stock to outside investors when they have taken no previous risk. Only management decides what to do within the CR rules of 7.1. But sure. At the end of the day the buck stops with the ASX because clearly as case in point here.. even with a company under zero financial stress, and time even (as it seems) management cannot be trusted to do the right thing. Shareholders don't make this decision. It's another case of loss of control of your own capital thru no fault of your own and another case of why risk is never valued. Bad call blaming me. Cheers.
