Yep 100% agree with that post. "Buying the dips" as you say means an understanding of all the issues here. Others don't fully understand them IMHO. That's all I'm saying. Anyway, why a company "performing well" is an excuse for IMHO appearing to be inequitable to the original exisiting holders on an equal "value" of each share is anyones guess? At the end of the day this inequity will always add up in the long run to being a disadvantageous position vs the "market" over ones entire portfolio IMHO. That is unless you understand the issue and refuse to partake in the game (if the investor finds themselves in an unfair situation). The ASX's ongoing apparent reluctance to address this issue will never go away IMHO - given the increasing number of DIY super funds with 1-2 million in capital out there (and the likelihood of the DIY fund holding stakes in the greater "than 50K per stock" range)...
