I've just read through the last weeks posts after VRX caught my attention - to me it makes sense that Australia would have a competitive advantage in supply of high grade sand into Asia. I must say that I think it is unnecessary for posters to be so adversarial with one another and also so suspicious of one another's agendas. I see this all the time on Hot Copper - posters saying share prices are being manipulated, saying that other posters are trying to down-amp, up-ramp etc and also abusing anyone with conflicting opinions. To me it's not necessary and I also believe that most posters are just giving their sincere views with no hidden agendas. Maybe I'm the one with rose coloured glasses on but I think not. In VRX's case, I think Black Cat obviously knows a lot about the sand market and his opinions should be appreciated and taken seriously - he should not be ridiculed nor abused, nor should he respond in a similar manner. His key point makes sense to me, that is that in the foreseeable future VRX will not be competitive in construction sand (and should not promote itself along these lines), and will only potentially be competitive in high grade sand which is a much smaller and more niche market with strong competition. This is not surprising, most markets are tough and competitive with only the players with the strongest competitive advantage thriving.
