Ricardo Pendón Victorio, CEO and Managing Director

Mr Ricardo Pendón is the founding Managing Director of HAPA Medical. Ricardo has been a successful entrepreneur for over 15 years. He has built two companies in the health insurance and public & investor relations sector and has achieved successful exits of these businesses. He has bootstrapped the company since inception and has built a team of individuals and a network of relationships positioning HAPA to take advantage of the medicinal cannabis sector in Europe. Mr Pendón resides in Germany.

Michael Sprenger, COO and Medical Director

Michael Sprenger is a co-founder of HAPA Medical. Michael graduated from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, one of the top-5-business schools in Germany, with a Bachelor of Science in International Business. Michael started his career managing hedge funds up to 1.5 billion EUR in assets for institutional investors in absolute return and derivative strategies. Building smaller companies on the side he moved into the start-up industry in Berlin. He worked for the most successful venture builders in Germany (Rocket Internet, HitFox Group) hands-on in early stage start-ups bringing them to speed operationally. He has a strong finance and analytical background especially in the start-up environment. Mr Sprenger resides in Germany.

Walter Krispin, Head of Organizational Development

Walter Krispin has more than twenty years of experience in self-employment and, as an entrepreneur, has a special gift especially in the field of employee management / employee selection. Most of Walter has made his experience as an entrepreneur in the field of lighting design and development for large companies. That's why he knows the challenges of getting a big team in the office. He accompanied the HAPA project from the beginning and was hired as managing director of the companies to ensure the administration of all companies and to support all enterprises. In the future, he will be involved in the construction of the clinic structures and will closely accompany the expansion of the new corporate structures.

Jan Renneberg, Manager of Industry Outreach

Mr Renneberg has extensive knowledge in medicinal cannabis cultivation and extraction gathered through roles in Canada, USA and Spain. His role includes attending key conferences and trade shows and assisting in the identification of strategic partners in the medicinal cannabis sector. Mr Renneberg resides in Germany.

Dr. Klaus Häußermann, Responsible Person

Dr Häußermann is the designated “Responsible Person” for the company’s pharmaceutical wholesale and narcotics activities (verantwortliche Person für den Großhandel und BTM-Verantwortlicher in Personalunion) which is a key function for operating the company’s distribution business. He is a former employee of the German institute BfArM (equivalent of the USA Food & Drug Administration FDA). He has authored several books and studies on cannabis as medicine and provides access to key medical and scientific networks. Dr Häußermann resides in Germany.

Markus Bottenberg, Manager Medical Clinics

Mr Bottenburg is responsible for the identification and commissioning of a network of specialist medical clinics throughout Germany. This role includes site acquisition, fit-out and ensuring compliance with necessary regulations. Mr Bottenburg resides in Germany.

Marina Sternagel, Head of Finance

Ms Sternagel is the Chief Financial Officer of the company. She is a chartered accountant with expertise in international tax law and coordinates and controls all accounting and tax functions for the company. Ms Sternagel resides in Germany
