Back of envelope calculation using 50 Tonne dump truck load at 10 trips per day x 6 days a week for 38 usable weeks allowing for rainy season gives 114,000 Tonnes p.a.
Say each truck can average 2.5 trips per 12 hour day will take 4 trucks plus 2 trucks in reserve
using 14 grams / tonne we would approach 50,00 oz/year giving about $70 million p.a. turnover.
Clearly the trick will be to haul enough ore in the dry season so that processing can continue through the wet.
The equation has lots of variables, but looks to be logical and viable with plenty of upside if the logistics of moving ore can be improved.
The benefits of reopening the Coyote mine are obviously appealing now given that the treatment costs will be hugely reduced.
All in all the deal looks like a winning move.
