Don't need to be an Insider to know that Australian processing costs are too high and throughput too seasonal. Also doesn't take an Insider to know that consumers strongly prefer fresh beef to frozen beef (which is why McDonalds is already moving that way in the US). Which is why most cattle from the north will be shipped live to Asia (and other places) for processing.
