I hope very much that they do have 25 klm wide and 25 km long by 5m thick by 2% Copper .
At a rock density of say 2.7 tonne per cubic meter .
25000 * 25000 * 5 *2.7 =1687.5 million tonnes of ore
or about 30 million tonnes of copper at 90% recovery .
Whew !!! Not saying it is impossible . Escondita is bigger with an estimated 32 million tonnes of recoverable copper ( 2012 )
However have to say it is very very unlikely .
Does however show that there is plenty of potential if the zone was continuous and widespread .
No doubt there would be a lot of eyes watching what is going on here .
