it costs lots of money to use thermal treatment... most graphite companies (eg KNL, BKT, etc) have done thermal tests
BKT attained 99.9999% purity
Thermal purification is an electrical thermal process which is fairly expensive compared to acid purification, but is significantly safer and does not impact the environment.
