SLR watchers had 15 minutes from 3:16 pm today to digest the import of an additional 87,000 gold reserve at Aldiss. At current gold prices that's an additional $148million increase in SLR revenues in the next 5 years. But, what will be the costs to generate this additional revenue? $1300 per ounze, $11000 ...$800???
So, what explains the immediate fall in the share price from 57.25 to 57??
Such is the gold price induced investor timidity in the second tier of Aussie gold producers that a likely $40million+ boost to the enterprise value of this gold stock is dismissed. But, what if a top tier gold stock like Northern Star made such an announcement today at 3:16pm ? I suggest that it would add more than $40million to its market cap- its enterprise value- immediately.
I landed a pitiful few SLR post announcement today . I'm wondering if a few more SLR buyers will be emboldened to step up tomorrow? Hopefully the gold price remains in the doldrums just one more day.
