IMO when key management are incented on an earnings level that csm be achieved with acquisitions alone (ie. no adjustments made for purchased earnings - their operating business could be trading flat or poorly) it does not promote sound business practices and encourages the wrong behaviour.
Just my 2 cents worth, hence stayed away.
