The experience has been both for me, either market price or limit price. If the broker has some shares that they or their clients are happy to be in front of the offers line by half a pip then you can get it. Normally these won't show up on the queue/ trading platform. Once those shares are cleared then we can move on to the proper price. I onced got 80% of my orders filled @ half a pip and the other 20% filled @ the limit price i put on. However, I have never experienced selling at those CXXT prices, it has always been 100% only buying for me.
And just like you, I wonder where have these shares come from
