I'm not denying that there is some geophysical evidence that something could be there, but you don't see me or Prof Collerson (who is a geophysics expert) predicting tonnes and grade yet. It's a working theory that can only be tested by more information.
The current intersections that AMG have are not typical IOCG style intersections yet, and they are interesting as they are reasonably high grade gold dominant rather than copper, suggestive of more of a thin structurally hosted style but it's early days yet and the area is still relatively under explored.
Do you believe that every EM conductor is an IOCG orebody?
Do you think major companies stop exploring if the first hole doesn't hit ore?
Of course not, in both cases, the exploration team often needs to refine the theories and test with drilling. Along the way there will be hits and lots of misses.
You don't just define a conductor, bang one hole into it and announce a JORC compliant resource based on a couple of drill holes, it's a bit more complex than that.
Not going to dignify your Newcrest spy allegations with a response, more embarrassing that it was even suggested than anything I could say about it, needless to say though that I knew some of the Exco Resources people so am a little bit familiar with the area, if not that exact immediate area.
