My understanding of the statutory responsibility of OGA is to regulate and implement rules and practices that are to BOTH ensure the safety protection of the public AND while facilitating the successful extraction of the resources from the licenses it gave out.
Those 2 key roles go hand in hand. A review of the TLS does fit into both of these criteria. As well as previous ministerial statement and the government election manifesto.
