The drilling encountered saprolite clays and weathered granite with pegmatite stringers from the surface to 32m.
A foliated hornblende granite with pegmatite stringers throughout was intersected from 32m to the end of the drill hole.
The stringers ranged in thickness up to 100cm (down hole width).
Between 61.7m and 87.7m (down hole depth) a 26m (down hole width) massive pegmatite showing varying amounts of silicification was intersected.
Any further comments about this pegmatite will be made once the analyses are to hand and we will be able to make informed commentary.
“The geological results from TD 003 have exceeded expectations. The massive pegmatite cut in this drill hole potentially will reflect the mineralization seen during trenching. We expect analytical information from hole TD 003 in early June. No analytical results are available at present and commentary to date is based principally on visual assessment of core.”
