'three sensor types drive autonomous vehicles'.

It appears to me the 3.6ghz is going to give tls plenty of home work ie developing/partnering 5g apps, services and content imo for tls a game changer when competing with optus and tpg/vodafone if tls is successful in getting what they require.
Going by some of the trials by tls i feel fully automated vehicles may not be that far away ie 2 or 3 years but restricted to low speed metro transit and similar vehicles.
Going by above article fully autonomous vehicles ie melb to sydney, normal metro driving etc require the 24ghz (26ghz) and 77ghz frequencies.ACMA hasn't specified a date on the 26ghz auction ,suggestion maybe 2019 and i have read nothing on the 77ghz 80ghz whatever frequency auction possibility.
But as a tls holder imo as posted 3.6ghz is plenty to separate tls's mobile plans from the competition.
ps verizon is sitting on a truck load of 26ghz,not sure about the 80ghz frequencies so i guess this is the only area where australia is behind. But i'm not sure i would want fully autonomous vehicles on the roads until all the issues (accidents) have been rectified by for example the US autonomous vehicles.
