One other thing to note is accumulated losses of $80M - this is a tax asset. Coincidentally, $80M is also twice the current market cap ($40M). To me this means a profitable company can takeover VXR at 100% premium, offset its profits on the loss and effectively own Sulphur Springs and Whim Creek for next to nothing.
