Some observations:
Turnout: 50.7% of issued shares.
Hypothetical: On resolutions that carried where Dr Giles could vote his 42m shares, his votes were decisive. Take him out of the equation (i.e. abstain), the outcome would be as follows:
#3: For 40% Against 60%
#5: For 41% Against 59%
#6: For 42% Against 58%
#9: For 44% Against 56%
Meaning only 2 resolutions would carry being #2 and #8 both relating to Dr Giles.
Query: #8 seems to allow Dr Giles to vote for himself. Would've carried anyway but...
Despite the outcome today, independent Shareholders have sent the Board / Senior Management a message. Will they heed or ignore the message?
