SameLiesRegurgator don't talk to the market or shareholders .... thats so passé .... they just want to get on with the business of downsizing no matter the cost. Remember when the SP hit 14c, a third of todays SP and market cap, this was a technical gross over reaction (as often happens) ... at the time SLR owned 3 mills and had several producing mines (including the high Grade Daisy) .... one mill costs $80-100m, so whats 3 worth, to say nothing of the mines and mineral reserves ??
A (technical) SP rebound was inevitable (its called over sold) so please stop giving "the new management" credit for such a recovery !
The ''drovers dog" could have lead this mob out of the wilderness.
The old management is still there in the presence of the chairman and the 'independent director' quaintly described as 'foundation directors' (LOL) ..... it remains their milk cow ... shareholders still get the mushroom treatment (keep in the dark and fed BS). The SP went from 400c to 14c and now has recovered to 43c ... brilliant recovery ... give that MD another $1m bonus ... for saving the company from itself.
Meanwhile, another of SLR's discards , SAU, has just announced sensational high grade drill results that ensure that an underground mine will follow the successful Cannon open pit development (by WGX/SAU).
This could be another Daisy May like mine .... but SLR is concentrating on downsizing, to free up its executives.
How hard would it have been to do a share swap for SAU (MC $14m) when the SLR SP was 70c ???
The gold returns alone from the Cannon open pit would have more than payed for the acquisition & the rest for free. Perhaps a reverse takeover by SAU would be a win-win ...give SAU a mill and SLR a dynamic leadership plus a portfolio of prospects that would give it an exciting future growth path.
So, when all other boats are rising and yours isn't, what does that mean ... it means your boat has leak and/or has run out of fuel !! .... SLR shareholders will be the last to know .... but hang in there true believers .... what doesn't kill you will make you strong .... if not financially then perhaps spiritually.
PS buy a lottery ticket ... same odds as SLR outperforming.
