1. Vales Point offtake agreement will help with price volatility. (Black coal won't be shut down before brown coal due to emissions intensity.) There is talk of Hazelwood (brown coal) being closed down.

2. Gas peakers can take advantage of mitigating risk and making money in price spikes.

3. Renewables will add volatility.

4. Batteries still a while away for commercial use.
