The key here is apparently
Firstly what Ron may have said or intended and what Rusty heard could be totally different things,
Also what is said in a casual telephone conversation cannot be be given the same weight as something thought out and released formally for communication
Ron does not really benefit from shares rising due to "spin"This not BHP and he will only benefit when his shares are cashed in.If they were cashed in after a rise due to spin then there would be some unpleasant questions asked of him.His money like ours will be made or lost on the fundamentals
Granted there will be some benefit in capital raising but the spin here will not be the BS that sells burgers ,beers and costume jewellry.It is also more limited in impact than you might think.A lot of investors here are either greybeards not so easily taken in by spin,serious investors who analize or follow people who do analize and will not give credibility to people who talk BS
His spin will generally be carried out on a one to one basis with large potential investors .They will forgive stammering and bad punctuation if the product is right but will probably be suspicious of shiny wrapping and a bow.
Long and short is unless you are a trader or chartist your future is tied up with the fundamentals as is Rons
Hopefully the board vacancy will be filled by someone with a proven record of execution on North American shale fraccing
