I enjoy it.

Put me in a room with 10 investors and I will stay up all night sharing ideas, bouncing different outcomes around and arguing.  

If someone brings along a decent bottle of Port, so much the better.

I have been on Hot Copper only once before to talk about a mineral sands company called MDL.  I happened to know a lot about it. I think I disclosed that we had a seriously large position and we were not going to accept the offer unless management recommended it ( My word is my bond etc etc) so I enjoyed listening to all the theories about what Eramet's next move was going to be and poking some holes in some of the debate.

I previously thought this site was only about resource stocks "copper"?

I was annoyed with the emails I kept on getting from Hot Copper and went to the website to figure out how to hit "unsubscribe" and just at that moment noticed the thread on LVT.   We own some and I have attended a management presentation and done some work so I thought "Huh....this is interesting. I'll share what I know and see what I get in return."    We dont trade short term and you wont hear from me when we are altering our position so Im not worried about sharing a little to gain a little.

But the bottom line, honestly, is that I enjoy it .
