I work as an Engineer predominately in the mining industry (not overly technical, and not gold mining). A lot of my current job involves distilling information and presenting it to people in a digestible format.

Most of what I know just comes from following the market, reading stock announcements, looking at historical events and not from my day job. I do spend a lot of my spare time researching stuff and looking at charts, but I enjoy it. It helps that I only look at the mining sector and mostly gold mining.

Lots of mistakes losing money in the resources bear market of 2011-16 taught me a lot. All of this just helps to build enough knowledge to have some trust in convictions and recognise risk.
