The announcements re project wins are really good news (Kalbarri, Elizabeth, Newcastle), and should be welcomed by all, they are not trying to ramp the price with these announcements. They are made under continuous disclosure obligations with material impacts to future cashflow.

The Mungari and Kemerton announcements almost aren't even price sensitive and these 'projects' are so early in the piece that they could have just been mentioned in a quarterly. They are talked up a bit maybe to elicit some price support but still I'd rather know about them than not.

On the subject of MO, while I am a critic (think he's grossly overpaid, focuses too much on grants, all projects are delayed, in the past hasn't been revenue orientated), they have secured all of these contract wins with him at the helm so credit where its due. However, I do think no CEO is above the law and unless things improve materially by the end of the year, he needs to go. Having said that though, I'd be cutting my losses before then if things continue to go south financially.

I know its been said before, but shareholders should be voting against executive remuneration packages to send a signal to management. Its one of the few things we can do to keep management accountable and, if successful, help moderate the cost side of the business.

And for those that really aren't fans of MO at all (to the point where it makes them angry) I gotta ask. Why do you still hold the shares...?
