If they have come across something significant they will be wanting to tie as much associated ground along strike as possible before someone else does. The real expense comes in when the ground is granted and they have to commit to expenditure, this will be some time away. At this stage they have tied up the ground for the price of the application and rent fees. So don't worry, the majority of the funds will be going into their current project where all the excitement is
