IMO the Drag on retail in general is the High desirability of newer Cars for the average person.
Mr Average, buys a used Commodore for 15k and has it for 3 years and sells it for 3 grand.
Mrs Average buys a hatch for 15k and 3 yrs later sells for 3k, same deal.
Young fellas get a Ute, lets say hilux for 30k, 3 years later sell for 8 k.
Thats where the Money is going, Of course rent and Mortgage takes alot out of the economy with rents going to pay landlords mortgage.
