That's the problem.
Its still a franchise based business model.
No wonder customers have a hard time buying online.
Instead of doing the logical thing and setting up a central distribution Warehouse like a normal online retailer they forced the responsibility onto the franchises. Who really don't want to have to deal with it. There's alot of "not my commission not my problem" attitude in store i see...which is another problem entirely shooting themselves in the foot. but does contribute to the conflict of interest.
You make an order it goes to which ever store your post code is nominated to. Which long story short..
Big *ing inconsistent online shopping experience. while some franchises are onboard with it, some franchisese just don't give a sheet about the online space.. naturally it's competing with their local business.
As far as how complicated the business is.. lol.
Its completely splintered and a Frankenstein of duct taped business components added over time without actually rebuilding anything from the ground up. I don't see them ever standing out on top in the online retail space untill they pull their finger out their a and make drastic business model Changes that actually don't conflict with putting the customer first. The franchise vs online problem for a start needs to be completely separated or demolished. They really can't survive long term with constant bandaid fixes and outdated business practices.
