I have this theory that South America was first inhabited by Middle Eastern colonizers - eg Phoenicians or Egyptians
Thor Heyerdhal proved this could be done with papyrus boats - these South Americans then proceeded to colonize Polynesia
Might help explain the Mayan and Aztec pyramid culture and the masonry skills that we find evident in Meso America (or Easter Island and other parts of the Pacific)
