yes I've noted that some serious, rational investors have invested in NBS in the past!

Ironically, Orbis was buying while I was selling last October. Since the accounts were clearly close to a work of fiction, I took the view at the time that their analysts were probably business graduate types rather than accountants, since any accountant with reasonable in-house experience in attending to cosmetic presentation of accounts could see the underlying manipulation of the figures and the presentational consequences of the alternatives; of course, many companies if not all, do just that, but not on the scale of the NBS effort and with the resulting level of NBS 'profit' (see last year's postings if you are interested in the detail).

Also, there was a general expectation last year that the NBS story had some credibility; investors including fund managers would have been attracted into a such a company with a relatively low PERatio and substantial prospects, as I was earlier in 2009.

sadly, the NBS story and prospects keeps repeating itself at regular intervals, with changes only to the product name and place name.
