another guy on the show was a Venezuelan who lived in Canada - and from memory, he was sort of saying "well his family is in Caracas blah blah - and they cannot get the drugs needed for treatment "

as usual the rt news is the best source of information for what is happening in Venezuela.. eg mention was made somewhere that when there was a malaria outbreak, the government of Venezuela was unable to buy  the required drugs etc etc

nice to know that America is bending over backwards to make it impossible for the Venezuelan government to buy needed supplies  - but are willing to provide US AID to help out.

Libyans used to live in abject poverty - but gaddaffi took control and distributed the oil wealth a bit more fairly... likewise Venezuelans lived in abject poverty, before Chavez distributed the oil wealth a bit more fairly .

the Americans have been actively seeking regime change in Venezuela ever since Chavez gained control.

not that the americans remotely take note of the UN - but both china and Russia support the Maduro government - and they are permanent members of the United nations .

strange how russia, who is always demonized is on the right side in relation to Syria and now Venezuela  - but Venezuela is not really in russia's sphere of influence - so they are probably not much help..
