30/40% sulphides is an indeterminate amount of metal. We don't know the % of the different minerals, so it's impossible to calculate the quantities of each. Cobaltiferous pyrite is a mineral in which ore replacement has occurred, so until assayed is also an indeterminate amount. The remaining 60/70% of the drill intersection will be gangue. This is why I resisted speculating on the pending assays earlier. Chalcopyrite is up to 34% metal, Sphalerite 64%, Galena 86%, Pyrite 46%, so differing amounts. I would guess that most of the intersected sulphides is pyrite, with traces of the other minerals, as per the amended announcements' verbs: "overprinted", "interfingered", "laminated", etc. This is not to say bad. It will be similar to what they've already delineated further east I imagine, which is very good.

Also, the main Co mineralization in DRC is the oxidized and supergene heterogenite, which is about 60%+ cobalt, very different to a replaced sulphide mineral, and is the concentrated and weathered form of linnaeite, itself a supergene ore. That's why the DRC cobalt is so rich and near surface, and why artisanal mining is possible.
