ps probably b called a capitalist pig for this post.
Not sure if CCL still owns SPC but last a read a while back the employee contracts and working practices were destroying spc.
The unions were not flexible and like ctx/kurnell refinery they had employee contracts that made it ridiculously expensive to make any productivity reforms which imo r essential or were essential at the time if spc was/is to survive.
s i will never buy chinese produce.ok sometimes HK sauces.Used to buy australian assorted frozen vegetables for my dog,then wow changed to chinese supplier and i stopped buying the vegetables for my dog /with meat.He had to settle for less assorted but grown in australia.
I hope if spc is still run by unions the unions will change their attitude.The union track record on productivity gains in the past is not good even when business/community survival relies on it.
