Maybe so. I just had a look at Commsec's analysts' forecast. Only one analyst is forecasting for Commsec and that is Bell Potter, advisers to AMA on the proposed dismemberment. They rate AMA as a strong buy.
AMA's share price is where it was three years ago. You could read that as an indication of earlier misplaced enthusiasm for the stock, or you could view it as an indictment of a Board which got the company to where it is today.
