If the fund's strategy is the best long term exposure to gold by investing in companies with strong management track record.. It probably doesnt care about the short term volatity. Lending out shares to shorters will improve its income yield while it takes a long term position in NST.
But you do make a point.. In their last fund update its 3mth performance is -17.17% but its 1yr 52.64%
