That is only part of the business. They also own and manage their own practices.
As I have previously stated I would be more concerned by the end of the CDDS or Chronic Dental Disease Scheme, it would have been interesting to know what percentage of revenue was derived from the scheme.
The scheme was costing the gov. approx. $1.2 billion annually across the nation. In lower income areas the CDDS has artificially driven up income for practices. Teen dental vouchers have also been abolished, pending the implementation of the new scheme in 2014.
I would suggest calling some of the practices after December (when the CDDS ends) and see how easy it is to get an appointment, at least it will give an indication as to how busy they are...
