Urine therapy has been used for thousands of years by many civilisations (including as an antiseptic for wounds).
People used to snigger and mock poop therapy too. But now fecal transplant therapy is not only becoming accepted but validated and embraced to treat the diseases created by the overuse of antibiotics.

For centuries physicians and scientists were baffled why we have some 30 feet of gut when we only need a fraction of that to absorb nutrients from food. But then we recently discovered that the GI tract is the core of our immune system and the human microbiome is now the most exciting area of health science (that and epigenetics).

So yes, despite the best efforts of the powerful allopathic medical establishment and their big pharma cronies, we are merely scratching the surface of understanding the myriad of natural treatments for boosting the immune system to create the perfect self-healing human bio-machine that has been in a constant state of evolution for millions of years.
