    Getting your tonsils out could do long-term damage to your health according to a new The University of Melbourne study which tracked nearly two million children who had their tonsils or adenoid glands removed.

    The surgery almost tripled the child's long-term risk of developing respiratory, allergic and infectious diseases due to tonsil's immune-boosting role.

    Tonsils and adenoids are part of the frontline of the immune system recording viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens entering the body and triggering a natural immune response. And doctors want to cut them out!

    Yet more evidence that doctors cause more harm than good with unnecessary, yet profitable, medical interventions;
