finally you admit there is gravity gold, but NONE IS RECOVERED because it's NOT WORTH IT or you can't have both.
Times have changed
Maybe the idea that No ore is 100% refractory or otherwise needs to be accepted and APEX ore is a combination of many types.I already knew that and it has been well publisized, just as free milling ore at times from the site has been as well.
The point i have been trying to make all along is PLANT DESIGNERS NOW ACCEPT THIS and have started to mix combinations and strip the ore as it's being processed, ripping the non refractory components off,or altering the chemistry to do so,rather than have the big hit cyanide suits all or biox/biax does it all half heartedly. The whole point being, the more you get off with the least inputs up plant, the faster and larger the plant thru put can become with less chemical input at the tail end.Very important with lower grade ores.
I go Morilla for an extreme example, less than 10% gravity stripping to 40% after at an average of less than 3g/ton.
My comments about the oxide circuit,if you read the article concerned, centred on the non-oxide ore crushing circuit carrying iron particles over imbedded in the ore, which mucked up the later treatment process and scavenged oxygen inputs and affected the ability of the BIOX treatment to free the gold. The oxide crushing circuit, being different didn't do so and consequently the overall YIELD was higher with a coarser ore feed as well thru final BIOX processing.Such is the irony of plant design versus plant reality.
Not surprised to hear of sludge in the tanks.wouldn't be surprised, not only gold but iron oxide cake in the mix.
That said, its academic if insufficient ore is not getting onto the pad.
