Last time I looked they (AWB) act exactly like the multinationals - maximise profits to shareholders at the expense of those they acquire the grain through (where possible). No transparency and zero accountability it would seem makes it a milk run. Its not rocket science to quote you. Australian wheat growers will be better placed to maximise profits (those who want to get off their bums and chase down premiums) than when the Single Desk was the only option they had. Will there be pain? Abso bl##dy lutely because there are a lot of bludgers in the system at the moment who have survived in the veil of ignorance. Well now it seems that veil is to be raised and the losers will be those who chose to stick their heads in the sand.
