I just checked and for clarity labor tax policy is not to remove franking, just to remove tax refunds for the excess credits received that may be below your own tax rate (ie cash payments). it's still a bad policy but not as extreme as removing the franking system. I think to really sort the issue out they're targeting they should get rid of zero percent super in retirement. make it 10pc tax and be done with it.
