I think from memory that there was still $8 million in MBN's books. Then just after the administration was called they got a very large multi million dollar injection from Norilsk - which was not unexpected!

Santa Rita WAS kept in mothballs. Just that it wasn't kept in mothballs for the shareholders.
It was kept in mothballs so that the creditors (and future owners) could make a motza!
