W, stated that its not a great situation, but they do not go after class actions(unless criminal activities proven)
The reason they gave was that if they chased losses(like this) it would bring to much attention to there losses when instead they can mix their losses with their gains and instead of red flagging their losses at 1.5% they would post gains of for example 13.5%-1.5% net profit of 12%....
This way investors they are representing dont know of the bad investment they made, just the overall gains..
We did question the large % they were acquiring and the aggressive way in which they were buying and they basically said "you win some you lose some"
They deal with millions but it all comes down to keeping the positives in the limelight (+ive gains) and keeping the negative(bad investments) away from the market...
