Greed from the secured creditors - they want as much money as possible, and even if they entered into a deal for a long time, unless it is binding they can find excuses to walk away
Would you sell something for 30%, 40%, 50% less than what you think it is worth now?
Stuff it - spend a bit more and open up the mine and reap the rewards if you don't get the $$$ that you are after
Greed from the other major SHs - if not shafted, why haven't they raised any noises
If agreed with some financial gains - is it sufficient now that the NP has risen so much?

Likely to have holes and likely to be caught out
Not everyone can be happy with an agreed settlement and be silent all the time
... not a great comparison, but look at Trump and the hush money - it still come out in the wash
