just how much will accor with wtp and besix be involved together in new hotel construction in oz in the future. none or plenty ? i don't know but i'm following the vibes here, that's all.
accor data copied below but it's only here for interest.
ACCOR 2013-2016: a new ambition Confirmed expansion plan of 30,000 rooms per year through organic growth, with an EBIT margin above 15%
(40 now, accor has asia at over 50% of it's recent expansion but altho oz is not 'the emerging asia', it is a very important part of the region and will therefore receive more visitors from business asia. oz, a very good hub for expansion into asia too)

40 again ... kevin seymour had 14.92% of watpac stock per final report 2011/12 as of 21/09/12 but i note besix is planning on taking seymour's holding of 15.10% plus some other .5% so why the difference ?
had seymour been buying since then of is it some other quirk in the shareholdings that i have missed ? interesting, maybe, maybe not ?
the bots have been hectic on wtp for a very long time. strange or simple ?
in summary, i feel that besix will not hang about with 15.60% but nor will they go much higher. i doubt they will want control but do want to grow within asia. aimho.
oh, and i bet besix are prepared to pay a tidy premium for it all. wtp has quality. past yrs has been horrible on the running of the business profitwise but from the ashes .....
least not forget the oz infrastructure business being touted post mining slowdown too.
all looks to be adding up pretty well to me.
be good,
40.
