Reality is, we'd like to believe that the customer base - us - is loyal and driven by experience, availability, rewards cards and the like, but IMO it's entirely price and convenience (can I park, not can I buy) driven.
Rarely does quality come in to play, but it does more-so than choosing to shop a brand because of the other 3 and when a story like this one comes out, it only has an effect on the market for a small amount of time - usually a month or so.
Customers have short attention spans and easily forget once their price and convenience values get too hard to justify.
As for the SP. I think if everything is pointing at what might be shaping up to be a consolidation of liquor divisions and generic brand line reductions there might be some opportunities to add some $$$ to the bottom line which might support the share price pushing it back to pre November levels.
