I am an Aldi shopper and confirm they are consistently 25-30% lower price than the big 2 on consistent quality basis. I have been fascinated by the Aldi retail model- although I know nothing about this business. I pay attention to the other shoppers there to get a feel for how they respond.
The most recent shopper trend at Aldi that I have noticed is taking place in the car park. I now find myself parking my Subaru in between Mercs and BMW's........
I sold out my long term WOW holding some time ago when I realised that the Aldi model was going to kill them. And they have only just got started.
I was dismayed to find Aldi is totally privately held and that I couldn't buy shares.
