gttrain- Aldi are just so inconvenient to shop at compared to Woolies, Coles and even IGA.

i have shopped there a few times as i was lured by their promo specials, so i tried to do my general shopping there as well.

OK- after paying the $2 coin for my shopping trolley, the first thing i noticed was it was like shopping in a big garage- fair enough all for a bargain, but then i get to the checkout and i then find out i have to purchase plastic bags and pack them myself at another special counter. so then i bundle the items into my trolley real fast, as the available room on the checkout counter is minuscule.
then the lady asks me to pay, but my credit card attracts a surcharge, so i ask why. she says they only accept Debit or cash. i then ask, what petrol station do i get my 4c a litre petrol discount at and how many rewards points did i get?- she then says something amazing-"if you want extras in service and value, just go to one of those Aussie companies.

still shellshocked, i go down the ramp to my car. all Aldi's have ramps as they only buy small suitable sites and develop it with " many levels", so they get the sucker customer to do the hard work of ramp climbing.

so i finally get my stuff from this hell hole into the boot of my car, and crickey, here we go again, i have to go up the ramp again to get my $2 trolley refund.

so i get my "bargains" finally home and am not that impressed with the quality as it is just ho hum.

but then again Choice gives these "blood suckers" rave reviews- is the name Zimmerman perhaps of German origin?
