Woolies has been IMO mismanaged in recent years.
Thus today are in a fix the business stage at the moment, such is the first step of transformations. I believe they are already working on the following items atleast, all I believe are within their control, and I think evidence of the transformation is coming thick and fast.....
Transformation underway already includes..
- Review of their business portfolio.
- Exit the hardware business.
- Think hard about petrol business.
- Become a lean retailer.
- Improve store layouts.
- Change culture to customer service focus.
- Review processes end to end.
- Change executive KPIs.
